Badges are earned by contributing to the PokémonWorld Community. There are numerous ways to contribute to PokémonWorld, thus many Badges to represent this. Along with contributions, users will have to show a level of maturity and act as idol members to other users of the PokémonWorld Community. If you earn a Badge, your account will be upgraded to the 'Community Member' status, which in turn comes with privileges such as allowing more Private Message storage, access to other forums, and the ability to lock your own topics. Here are the Badges that you can earn here at PokémonWorld and how to obtain them:

- User is a Community Member. Community Members are commended for their good posting history, maturity, and overall excellence in being a committed user. This Badge is more likely to go to dedicated users who have been a member for quite a while and helped out often. However, this Badge is also deemed as more of a 'Pre-Badge' than anything else. For example, you could be an aspiring Team Rater. If you were rating teams to a good standard, you're likely to be rewarded with this Badge first before you gain the full status of Team Rater. The same goes for basically every Badge, you'll get this first if you're on the right track.

- User is a Moderator. Moderators keep the forum tidy and under control by deleting unwanted posts and infracting / warning any member(s) who break rules. Moderators should be given the utmost respect, so if you are warned, make sure you take it in your stride and improve your posting standards.

- User is an Administrator. Administrators keep the forum tidy and under control by deleting unwanted posts and infracting / warning any member(s) who break rules. Administrators also do more behind-the-scenes work to keep PokémonWorld going. Administrators should be given the utmost respect, so if you are warned, make sure you take it in your stride and improve your posting standards.

- User is a member of the PokémonWorld Site Staff. Site Staff have access to all the inner workings of PokémonWorld, thus only the most trusted members will attain this rank. Site Staff may help with coding, programming, and the Badging of other users; as well as providing news and moderating the Contributions & Corrections forum.

- User is an Artist. Artists contribute their artwork to PokémonWorld. Simply posting your artwork for critique in the forums may not get you tihs Badge, it's usually reserved for work that is used by PokémonWorld. Visit the Lilycove Gallery forum for more information.

- User is an acknowledged Team Rater. Team Raters provide useful and quite frequent information to members who are looking to improve their team(s). Visit the Dragon's Den forum for more details.

- User is a Contributor to PokémonWorld. Contributors help out the community in many ways. The most obvious of which is to provide guides, articles or other information in the Contributions & Corrections forum. Contributions can also include aiding others via correcting any mistakes on guides or articles, or even contributing to community itself with a good posting record, for example. Visit the Contributions & Corrections forum for more information. It should be noted that this Badge is difficult to obtain, you'll have to contribute a lot to get it.

- User is a Tournament Director. Tournament Directors control and manage the Official PokémonWorld Tournaments and Tours, as well as approving Tournaments from other members. Tournament Directors also moderate the Tournaments forum. Visit the Tournaments forum for more information.

- User is a PWChat Moderator. Very hard to get, picked on availability and trust.

- User is a PWChat Administrator. Extremely hard to get, picked on availability and trust.

- User is an acknowledged Tutor. Tutors aid newer players who've signed up to the PokémonWorld Trainer School in becoming better at the game. This is usually aimed more at competitive players. Visit the Trainer School forum for more information. Currently Offline.

- User is a PokémonWorld Journalist. Journalists provide information and news on upcoming events, tournaments, releases, or any other important information about Pokémon as quickly as possible. News is generally reported in the Spear Pillar forum, though in special cases the PokémonWorld forum is used. Visit the News forum for more information.

Remember that any Badge can be removed if immaturity or disrespect is shown. You can still be infracted by Moderators if you have a Badge, you are not above anyone. However, you should be show a higher level of maturity for other members to look up to.


Trophies are earned by users for winning Official PokémonWorld Tournaments, either on a Simulator or over Wi-Fi. They're very much like Badges, except they do not come with any extra privelages; just recognition.
