Herro, First Issue of Pachi News - Ryu finally lost it, so we brought him out! My name is Pach, and I'm the NewNews Guy (See what I did there?). PachiPost has been around for many years now, and finally we can get the recognition we deserve!

I was told you kind people are interested in the games Pokémon PachiGold and PachiSilver versions...oh wait, sorry...HeartGold and SoulSilver. Well, information has reached us about what kind of names things have in the English language versions, so I thought I'd share it! Yay!

To start things off, the playable characters are now Ethan and Lyra (I hear Lyra still keeps the harp theme to the name). The big bad Rocket Admins have had name changes to - Lance is now Proton, Lambda is now Petrel , Athena is now Arianna and Apollo is now Archer.

The Pokéthlon sporting event is now called the Pokéalthlon, fitting it's origins as an elision of Pokémon and Triathlon, and the founder, no longer called Kobushi, now goes by the name of Magnus and the stats are now balled Skills (See, we have skills!)

Some items have name changes too, such as:
Apricorn Case -> Apricorn Box
Berry Planter -> Berry Pots
GB Player -> GB Sound
Item Finder / Dousing Machine -> Dowsing MCHN
Enigma Crystal -> Enigma Stone
Green Orb -> Jade Orb
Train Pass -> Pass
Wave Bell -> Tidal Bell (How cool does that sound? =3)
Unown Note -> Unown Report (Cool too =3)
CompeBall -> Sport Ball (Catching us is a sport now? I angry!)

Location name changes!:
Shinto Ruins -> SinJoh Ruins (keeping the elision of Sinnoh and Johto Japan had, but removing the Shinto references somewhat)
Triad Stage -> Mystri Stage (Also, the event can be done TWICE - once with a movie Arceus, and another with a Hall of Origin Arceus, if one is ever to be given out)
Hidden Tower -> Embedded Tower

Also, super awesome news! In all versions outside of Japan, the GameCorners no longer have slots (unfair how EU had them taken out when US didn't in Platinum...) we now have a game similar Minesweeper, but with Voltorb (BOOM!) and coin multipliers - cool right?

I have to say, I myself am annoyed at the names of the Rocket Admins - what was wrong with Lance, Lambda, Athena and Apollo? They were also the names of Rockets. Especially Petrel...>>

Apart from Lyra, Unown Report and Tidal Bell - I prefer the Japanese names.

And I know? Isn't the Pachirisu adorable? =3

Ugh, I hate english dubs.

It's not a dub, it's a localisation.
